Emerald Pool and Hot Springs from Ao Nang and Krabi

Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot) and the Khlong Thom Hot Spring Waterfall are inland attractions southeast of the main Krabi beach areas. From Ao Nang to Emerald Pool, the road distance is about 69 km. For planning, allow around 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes for the first drive, depending on traffic, weather and your exact hotel pickup point. Krabi Town is closer than Ao Nang.

Two separate attractions in the Khlong Thom area

What to expect at Emerald Pool and Namtok Ron

The Tourism Authority of Thailand places Emerald Pool in the Khao Phra-Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary and describes a 1.4 km nature-study path at the site. Namtok Ron Khlong Thom is a natural hot-spring waterfall in the same inland district. Allow enough time for walking and for your independent visit at each attraction.
